HackNYU puts together events to help grow a positive maker and hacker community at NYU and other nearby schools. We are an official NYU student run organization, and work with sponsors and the university to bring you our events free of charge.

Our largest event (which shares our name), HackNYU, brings together over 500 students for 48 hours every year to create projects that address pertinent global issues.

From the logistics and finances to media and outreach, we have positions for people of all backgrounds at HackNYU.

Here’s a broad overview of our current teams and their responsibilities:

Logistics: Coordinates event details, including budget, food, and venue.
Tech: Develops and audits any tech services nedded to run the hackathon.
Marketing: In charge of social media and outreach, as well as media coverage of the event.
Sponsorship: Handles sponsorship and finances of the event.
